In the new Landi Mettlen Appenzell building, Arbonia air curtains were planned and installed to keep the cold air out. In buildings such as this Landi, opening the exterior doors frequently or even continuously is unavoidable.
Due to this fact, there is a large exchange of air with high losses of warm air in winter and cooled air in spring and summer. At the same time, the room air is contaminated with dust and air pollution. These effects are prevented by using air curtains.
