After a construction period of just 13 months, the headquarters of the world-renowned company Hahn + Kolb Werkzeuge GmbH moved into its new location in Ludwigsburg. The new-build was designed in cooperation with SHA Sigrid Hintersteininger Architects in Stuttgart. With Zimmermann und Becker GmbH, Heilbronn for planning the technical building equipment and Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Stuttgart as the company installing the heating technology, once again two regionally based companies with a wealth of experience in large-scale projects were again commissioned.
Right from the initial planning stage, it was stipulated that the complex should be visually and ecologically integrated into its surroundings. These objectives were realised with the principles of sustainability, with the effect of ideal working conditions and high energy efficiency. This is achieved among other things through natural ventilation, workplaces with daylight, and a green roof covering an area of over 1400 m². Ascotherm trench convectors were used.
