Bikini Hotel
Budapester Strasse 40, 10787 Berlin
What other German city could be better associated with the urban jungle lifestyle than Berlin? The 25hours Hotel, which opened directly opposite the Gedächtniskirche in January 2014, also takes this approach. In addition to the extraordinary room design, another highlight in the hotel is the restaurant and bar area located on the 10th floor with 1000 square metres of space and a surrounding roof terrace. Guests of the NENI Berlin and the Monkey Bar can enjoy a fascinating panorama of Berlin thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Air conditioning is especially demanding in this area in particular. Unobstructed sunlight through large window areas, doors to access the roof terrace that are frequently opened, and an open fireplace in the bar area are key influencing factors that present planners and air conditioning technicians with a real challenge when endeavouring to create a pleasant indoor climate with high energy efficiency. Ascotherm trench convectors were chosen for heating and cooling the restaurant and bar area.
