Ascotherm® eco
Heating, cooling, and ventilating – depending on the version
Ascotherm eco trench convectors – the innovative connection between discerning aesthetics and maximum functionality in an HVAC system. For heating, cooling, and ventilating, depending on the version. Prevent unpleasant cold-air downdraughts and ensure optimal temperature and air conditions, especially in areas with large window surfaces and glass doors.
... eco stands for energy efficiency
Synchronised fan speed and valve stroke
- For a hydraulically balanced pipe system and especially energy-efficient operation
- According to a preliminary study by Prof. Dr. Hirschberg, University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, thermal energy savings of more than 8 % and pump flow savings of more than 80 % for circulation are feasible through use of the new controls for trench convectors with a fan
Cross-flow fan with modern 24 V EC motors
- EC motors are distinctive because of their quiet, well-controlled and energy saving operation
- Compared to conventional 230 V AC motors, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 72 %
Connections sets with preset valve inserts
- Ensure an optimum result of synchronised control of fan speed and valve stroke for models with a fan
- For models without fan (KRP 91 and KRN 92) they allow for simple and acknowledged hydraulic balance
- Consequently thermal energy savings of more than 6 % and pump flow savings of more than 20 % for circulation are feasible
Optimised ribbed pipe registers ensure best possible energy transmission
Optional accessory for other energy savings
Impressions
Ascotherm eco for heating
Ascotherm eco trench convectors for heating are impressive with high heat outputs, maximum energy efficiency, and are extremely easy to install. With a choice of natural convection, natural convection with air supply or with support from cross-flow fans.
Ascotherm eco KRP91
Natural convection
Use
Ascotherm KRP91 have been developed for office buildings and commercial buildings with fully glazed facades. Architectural and aesthetic reasons are often arguments against classical heating surfaces. The extensive product range, optimised in the company's own test laboratory, starts with small, compact dimensions and ends with very powerful models. The maximum constructive flexibility allows many individual customer wishes to be fulfilled. The natural convection ensures comfort with silent operation.
Installation / positioning
Ideally suited for installation in screed floors or raised floors
Operating principle
Cooled room air flows into the tray. The air flows through the heat register from below. The heated air rises upwards along the glass facade, effectively preventing cold-air downdraught, and is distributed throughout the room without draughts.
Connections / ventilation
- Connections: 2 × eurocone with union nut (IG ¾"), suitable for all screw connections that comply with DIN V 3838

Ascotherm eco KRN41
Forced convection for heating
Use
Ascotherm KRN41 have been developed for office buildings and hotels with high requirements for acoustics. The compact design of the ready-to-install trench convectors proves its worth especially in the low-temperature range through the interaction of energy-efficient EC motors and performance-optimised heat registers. The innovative synchronous control of airflow and water mass flow guarantees an unmatched high efficiency of the heating system through a minimum spread of 8 K between the flow and return temperature. A high level of heat dissipation combined with noise levels being kept to the absolute minimum will provide a comfortable climate.
Installation / positioning
Ideally suited for installation in raised floors.
Operating principle
Cross-flow fans draw in room air and direct the air through parallel heat registers towards the windows. The heated, rising air effectively prevents cold-air downdraught and is distributed in the room as a warm air cylinder without any draught.
Connections / ventilation
- Connections: 2 × eurocone with union nut (IG ¾"), suitable for all screw connections that comply with DIN V 3838
- Built-in air vent
- Optional: fresh air connection
Range available
- Height 110 mm x depth 192 mm
Height 130 mm x depth 217 mm - Lengths: from 750 mm to 3000 mm, with a total of 32 output levels – other lengths on request

Ascotherm eco for heating and cooling
Ascotherm eco for heating and cooling ensure a pleasant indoor climate at all times of the year through forced convection with cross-flow fans. Heating and cooling with one system – depending on the design, the fin coil is designed as a 2 or 4-pipe system . The 4-pipe system has two circuits, which are planned for both the heating installation and the cold water installation. Energy-efficient 24 V EC motors work together with performance-optimised cooling/heating coils. The innovative synchronous control of airflow and water mass flow guarantees an unparalleled high efficiency during heating due to a minimum spread between the flow and return temperature. A high cooling/heat dissipation with the lowest possible sound value at the respective operating point ensures pleasant comfort.
